My name is Amy Aoki and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the State of Hawaii. My passion and primary focus from the start of my career has been working with adolescents. Over the past decade, I have worked with youth and their families in different settings including home-based intensive therapy, an acute psychiatric hospital, and telehealth therapy to address adjustment challenges, family conflict, school and peer difficulties, depression, and anxiety. I primarily utilize Supportive Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients harness their strengths, regain hope, increase their supports, and actively pursue change strategies when they’re ready, all of which can help them achieve their most meaningful goals.
I enjoy baking, cooking, and finding the most delicious food spots. I’m currently trying to make sourdough and it’s been a struggle but I won’t give up. I am a not-so-good fisherwoman and I enjoy it anyway. I drink an iced latte almost every day and you’ll probably see me having one during session often.
